In the Show Room Gallery, NAC presents a balanced programme of work by Niagara Peninsula-based artists, artists from across Canada, North America and the world.
The Show Room Gallery programming season runs from March through December. During this time, between 3 and 4 exhibitions and/or installations are shown.

Squarebody Resolute

The task-based project Squarebody Resolute, saw the artist Chris Boyne source a former Government of Canada squarebody truck (squarebody is an appellation that describes 1973-1987 General Motors trucks) from Resolute, Nunavut (ᖃᐅᓱᐃᑦᑐᖅ in Inuktitut: romanized: Qausuittuq, ‘place with no dawn’).
The Show Room Gallery is available for exhibits or installations by NAC members in good standing. All artists that show at NAC are paid CAR/FAC recommended artist-fees as well as travel and transportation costs.

Niagara Artists Centre is an artist-run centre dedicated to the presentation of contemporary art in all media. Priority is given to submissions that address the specific nature of the NAC space. Submissions from artists and curators for both visual and time based art and new media works are welcome. Artists for all programmed exhibitions and installations are paid above recommended CAR/FAC rates. NAC also pays artist travel and transportation of the work. NAC designs and produces all print material for exhibitions in the Show Room Gallery.
Submissions to NAC are considered by a Selections Committee comprised of members of the Board of Directors and NAC members. Deadline for submissions is on-going.
Submission Requirements
- Ten images (digital), video, or other appropriate documentation
- A description of the proposed show (one page or less)
- A statement about the work (one page or less)
- A resume and/or bio of the artist (three pages or less)
