How to Shoot & Develop Black-and-White 35mm Film (at Home!)

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to shoot black-and-white 35mm film and develop it at home using a plant-based developer made from household ingredients. Lauren will introduce the basics of 35mm film photography, and Amber will demonstrate how to mix and use plant-based film developers. This 4-hour workshop covers the full process: from shooting, to developing, to scanning your film.

Participants are welcome to bring a roll of 35mm black-and-white film they have already shot to develop during the workshop. We’ll also be taking photos throughout the session. Cameras will be available for shared use, but feel free to bring your own camera if you have one. Extra film will be available for purchase.
