A site-specific installation
By Rob Elliott (Kincardine ON)
Saturday 19 January - Saturday 1 March
Opening Reception Saturday 26 January at 8pm

This project will employ elements of fishing hut and world's fair pavilion architecture to create an interactive environment that comments on ecology, tourism, and extinction. A key element of this installation is the robotic singing fish, Big Mouth Billy Bass and its knock-off cousin Boogie Bass.

"I need as many of these fish as I can lay my hands on, but I have had no luck with wholesalers and other discounters," says Elliott. "These things are simply not to be found. One wholesaler in Chinatown offered me forty lobsters that sing Sea Cruise, but that just isn't going to cut it."

To encourage donors to give up their rubber fish, Rob Ellliot will be giving away a limited edition "Ass, Gas or Bass" poster to anyone who drops one off at convenient depots set up in three cities (Milwaukee, St. Catharines, & Toronto).
