The Main Exhibition Space programming season usually runs from September through June. During this time between 6 and 8 exhibitions and/or installations are shown. NAC presents a balanced programme of work by Niagara Peninsula-based artists, artists from across Canada, North America and the world. All artists that show at NAC are paid CAR/FAC recommended artist-fees as well as travel and transportation costs. The character of the NAC Main Exhibition Space, with its decaying brick walls, concrete floor, and exposed supersructure, lends itself to contemporary installation work. The rudimentary nature of the space makes it extremely flexible, accommodating most any type of installation work as well as more traditional two-dimensional painting and photography. Programming priority is given to submissions that address the specific character of the space.
